The University’s priority is to provide students with the academic and professional skills that will enable them to:

• acquire a high level of education and develop critical thinking and communication skills through humanities and general elective courses. Evidence of this is the work produced during the course of study, including critical essays, studies, individual and group projects, presentations, internships, field trips, etc., as well as the various distinctions/awards/prizes that students obtain through participation in a variety of conferences, social events, etc., and
• acquire the knowledge and skills required for their profession, instilled in them through specialised courses which, where applicable, teachers require graduates to attend before they can practise their profession.
  Evidence that this is achieved is the approval of our curricula by professional bodies such as the Cyprus Law Council, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Cyprus Scientific and Technological Chamber of Cyprus in Architecture, Computer Science and Engineering, and the ACCA and ICAEW in Accounting (with the maximum exemptions allowed).
  With these academic and professional skills, graduates of the University of Nicosia are able to succeed not only in the Mediterranean-European region but also globally.
