Tourism Voucher

The action will provide 250 hours of theoretical training to 18,000 beneficiaries over 18 years old, seasonal workers in tourism enterprises and unemployed people with at least 200 jobs in the tourism sector.
The aim of the action is to acquire new skills and retrain those employed in the tourism sector, with the ultimate aim of improving the overall improvement of the services offered in the tourism sector. Starting date for applications: IMMEDIATELY – Upon notification by the DIFA Priority will be given to applications on a first-come,first-served basis:

  • Theoretical training of 250 hours 100% via distance learning
  • Certification in the subject area you will attend
  • Educational Allowance: from 1.250€ to 2.500€
  • Possibility for the trainee to participate in 2 cycles

The programme is implemented in the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” with funding from the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

Unemployed and employed workers who are:

  • Seasonal workers in tourism enterprises
  • Long-term or temporarily unemployed in the tourism sector (Registered in the Unemployment Register of the D.Y.P.A. (formerly O.A.E.D.)
  • Employees of tourism enterprises whose employment contracts were suspended in 2020 and/or 2021 due to the temporary cessation or suspension of the operation of the enterprises in which they worked, in the context of measures to prevent and combat the spread of COVID-19
  • It is a prerequisite for all beneficiaries to have at least 200 daily wages in the last decade in total, in the tourism sector.

The supporting documents that you should forward to us for your participation in the program are the following:

  • Photocopy of Police Identity Card
  • Unemployment certificate or E4 staff list, showing working hours, or last month’s work diary from myergani.gov
  • Official documents showing your VAT number, DOU, AMA and AMKA
  • Bank Account (iban), in which you are the first beneficiary
  • Confirmation of individual insurance account (insurances) from 2012-present
  • The highest degree or diploma

Training programme specialities The specialisations for which training is expected to take place are as follows:

  • Reception services and digital skills.
    (250 hours)
  • Food and food hygiene and safety.
    (250 hours)
  • Cooking and pastry art.
    (250 hours)
  • Forage services and environmental management.
    (250 hours)
  • Tourism Outdoor Recreation Activities Animator.
    (250 hours)
  • Lutrotherapy/Thalassotherapy services – SPA.
    (250 hours)
  • Tourist Office Executive.
    (250 hours)

Participants, upon successful completion of the program, are given a Certificate of Attendance.
