New OPPORTUNITY voucher programme in the tourism sector!

VOUCHER in the tourism sector for 18,000 beneficiaries with a 1,250€ allowance

Tourism is Greece’s heavy “industry”.
Several people are employed almost all year round in tourism businesses throughout the country.

The provision of hospitality services includes a wide range of activities carried out by a variety of employees.

Nevertheless, the changing approach of the tourism product and the strong competition from neighbouring countries require the education and training of the human resources of the Greek tourism sector.

For these reasons, CYPA is proceeding with the implementation of another programme vouchers for 18,000 beneficiaries with an allowance of €1,250.

Method of implementation:

The programme includes 250 hours of theoretical training 100% through e-learning.

Beneficiaries will be able, at IANAP, to attend the high-level material whenever they want and be certified in modern cutting-edge subjects in tourism.

Training specialties:

Beneficiaries will be able to choose from the following specialisations:

  • Reception services and digital skills
  • Food and food hygiene and safety
  • Cooking and pastry art
  • Forage services and environmental management
  • Outdoor Recreation Tourism Activities Animator
  • Lutrotherapy/Thalassotherapy services – SPA
  • Tourist Office Executive

Education Allowance:Each beneficiary, upon completion of the programme, will receive an Educational Allowance ranging from 1.250€ to 2.500€.Participation is open to unemployed and employed workers, who are:

  • Seasonal workers in tourism enterprises
  • Long-term or temporarily unemployed in the tourism sector (Registered in the Unemployment Register of the D.Y.P.A. (formerly O.A.E.D.)
  • Employees of tourism enterprises whose employment contracts were suspended in 2020 and/or 2021 due to the temporary cessation or suspension of the operation of the enterprises in which they worked, in the context of measures to prevent and combat the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

* A prerequisite for all beneficiaries, whether unemployed or employed, to have at least 200 daily wages in the last decade in total, in the tourism sector!!

The documents that you will need to forward to us via email, for your participation in the program are the following:

  • Photocopy of Police Identity Card
  • Copy of Diploma/Title of Studies/Degree
  • Unemployment certificate or staff list (E4)
  • Bank Account (IBAN), in which you are the first beneficiary.
  • AMA, AFM, AMKA (Official documents)
  • Confirmation of individual insurance account (insurances) from 2012-present
